Serve as a Veggie Exchange Leader: Greet people as
they come to exchange the excess from their gardens. Having multiple
leaders at each exchange helps our group of leaders take turns at our exchange
sites.
Start a new Veggie Exchange in your Neighborhood: There's interest in Tam Junction, Tiburon and other neighborhoods in Marin, we just need a few people willing to show up for an hour on a Saturday or other convenient time. We do all the publicity . . . you just hang out with your neighbors!

MicroGarden Project: Volunteers are needed to help
build raised bed microgardens to help expand the number of backyard gardens in
Marin County.
PR: Help us publicize the Marin Open Garden Project.
Gleaning Project: Gleaners are needed for harvesting
fruit from fruit trees in all areas of the County. High school students looking
for community service hours are encouraged to inquire. Click here
to access our Volunteer Form, which must be filled out and returned before you
can participate in your first harvest. After you have returned your form, we
will contact to you to let you know what harvests are available. You choose
your harvest and then we provide you with owner contact information. You schedule
the harvest at your convenience.
Calling all Canners . . . we could use your help in
the upcoming months to help can fruit and train others to can fruit for
donation to the Marin Food Bank and other community kitchens.
Donate Used Garden Tools. MOGP is establishing
a garden tool lending library. Donations of old shovels, rakes, hand tools,
weedwackers, clippers, pruners, etc. would be most appreciated for lending to
others. Click here to send
an email about tool donations to contact@opengardenproject.org
