Kudos to Eva Karlen and the Free Plant Exchange in Mill Valley!

A fellow Environmental Forum of Marin grad, Eva Karlen, showed that perseverance pays off, when she found the perfect location for a popular free plant exchange among the redwoods next to the Mill Valley Library. I was there to introduce the Marin Open Garden Project to people carrying in armloads of plants and carrying out armloads of different plants. It was wonderful to see gardeners from all over Marin attend this event! Christopher Wand was on hand to share his library of seeds from his 1/2 acre in Tiburon . . . you should see his plant list! Eva has another event planned for October, but it could be that MOGP can help out by encouraging a plant swap at one or more of our regular veggie exchanges between now and then. You never know when you'll be in the mood for a new succulent!
